Se asoció con entrenadores y nutricionistas para que lo ayudaran a perder peso con la dieta Nooch. Durante el programa, García perdió 9 kilos, pero no pudo mantenerlos y abstenerse de los malos hábitos alimenticios.
El actor se sometió al procedimiento de bypass gástrico para perder 30 kilos, además de hacer ejercicio y comer mejor. Evita el consumo de azúcar, pan, refrescos, lácteos y carne de vacuno para mantenerse más sano.
