Jean-Michel Baylet – PRG – Près de 8 millions d’euros
Jean-Michel Baylet commence sa carrière comme journaliste à La Dépêche du Midi, journal régional dont il hérite par la suite. Élu sénateur de Tarn-et-Garonne en 1995, il a conservé ce poste pendant près de 20 ans, et devient en parallèle le conseil général de Garonne puis le maire de Valence-d’Agen.
En 2016, sa déclaration de patrimoine a révélé un patrimoine estimé entre 6,5 et 8 millions d’euros. Cela inclut des parts dans La Dépêche du Midi, deux résidences dans le Sud-Ouest, des parcelles forestières et une collection de véhicules anciens évaluée à 40 000 €. Baylet s’est retiré de la vie politique en 2017 après avoir été ministre de l’aménagement du territoire sous François Hollande.
