Pierre Moscovici est le Premier président de la Cour des comptes, la plus haute juridiction financière française, depuis 2020. Cette nomination prend la suite de son mandat de commissaire européen, rôle qu’il a tenu entre 2014 et 2019. Dans la Commission européenne, il avait la responsabilité des affaires économiques et financières, ainsi que de la fiscalité et des douanes.
Le parcours politique de Pierre Moscovici en France a aussi inclus de grandes responsabilités ministérielles. Il fut ministre délégué chargé des Affaires européennes de 1997 à 2002 et ministre de l’Économie et des Finances entre 2012 et 2014. Son expérience comprend également des mandats parlementaires à l’Assemblée nationale française et au Parlement européen, où il s’est principalement consacré aux dossiers économiques.
