Ihr Zuhause befindet sich im Hamburger Stadtteil Wandsbek, wo sie ein Einfamilienhaus im Wert von rund 800.000 Euro besitzt. Anders als viele Prominente verzichtet sie auf hohe Mauern oder Sichtschutz – ihr Haus fügt sich ganz selbstverständlich ins Wohngebiet ein.
Die Entscheidung für ein bescheidenes Zuhause passt zu ihrem Lebensstil: Nena legt Wert auf Sinn statt großer Show. Statt in Luxus zu investieren, steckte sie ihr Geld lieber in ein Herzensprojekt, zum Beispiel in die Gründung einer eigenen Schule, mit der sie ihre pädagogischen und kreativen Vorstellungen umsetzen will.
