Popular Hollywood Child Stars We Used to Adore – Find Out Who Grew Up To Be A Huge Success
Edward Furlong

Edward Furlong was known for his natural talent in acting ever since he’s young like the other child stars on our list. But his career surged when he gave his dramatic performance when he starred as John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. His astounding performance earned him to win the Saturn and MTV Movie Awards and paved his way in becoming one of the best teenage idols of his generation. Edward is one of the luckiest young actors to work with Hollywood’s prominent figures like Jeff Bridges, Edward Norton, and Kathy Bates.
Everyone would assume that Furlong’s limelight and career were going on smoothly, so it was a major shock to discover that he’s currently struggling in landing prominent roles back in Hollywood. He even failed to reprise his role in the major blockbuster Terminator film. The reason behind it?
Well, it’s sad to say that the once young teen actor was arrested multiple times because of drug possessions. He’d been arrested taking drugs like heroin and cocaine by the authorities. Not to mention he’s also in for serious alcoholism. He’d been in and out of rehab for the past few years, but sadly, he still couldn’t overcome his addiction to alcohol. This bad record of his had tarnished his reputation in the showbiz industry, leaving the directors to question his credibility, sincerity, and dedication to work.
Despite his downhill, though, he was given another chance to star as Edward Norton’s fragile and vulnerable brother in the hit film American History X. And just last year, he starred as Fixer in Star Trek: Renegades. It seems it’s still not too late for Furlong to regain his career back! Just a piece of advice, though, he better gets his grip if he wanted to have a solid career again!
