Jenny Curran was Forrest’s love interest! This lovely character is played by two actresses. As a child, she was portrayed by Hanna Hall and as an adult by Robin Wright. In 1982 Jenny died and there was quite a debate about how she died. After the movie, a lot of people assumed that she died because of AIDS but when the second novel came out (AIDS was only first identified in 1981 and there was no cure) it was clearly Hepatitis C. If only the cure for the disease was discovered 7 years earlier!
