The film studio behind the Chocolate Factory did offer a three-film contract to him, but he turned them all down. Why? Well, to become a veterinarian, although he may not have harbored this passion back then. He got a doctorate from Cornell in veterinary sciences and now reportedly works in the Lowville, NY area.
