Sahra Wagenknecht ist eine der bekanntesten Politikerinnen Deutschlands. Viele Jahren prägte sie Die Linke, ganz früher auch die PDS, heute ist sie die prominenteste Stimme ihrer Partei BSW auf Bundesebene. Aber auch ihre Ehe mit Ex-Finanzminister Oskar Lafontaine brachte sie in die Schlagzeilen.
Privat lebt das Paar weit entfernt vom politischen Trubel. Ihr Zuhause liegt in Silwingen, einem kleinen Ortsteil der Kreisstadt Merzig, direkt an der französischen Grenze. Dort bewohnen sie ein schönes Dorfhaus, ziemlich idyllisch, ruhig und umgeben von Natur. Statt Hauptstadtstress und Großstadthektik genießen Sahra und Oskar dort ländliche Gelassenheit. Manche Menschen finden allerdings, dass ihr Zuhause für linke Politiker etwas zu protzig ist.
