Elke Sommer war eine der wenigen deutschen Schauspielerinnen, die es bis ganz nach Hollywood geschafft haben. In den 60er- und 70er-Jahren galt sie als Schönheitsikone und spielte an der Seite internationaler Stars. Mit Talent, Charme und Ausstrahlung eroberte sie nicht nur die Leinwand, sondern baute sich auch ein beträchtliches Vermögen auf.
Von dem Erfolg profitiert sie bis heute und lebt in gleich zwei Welten. In Los Angeles besitzt sie eine Villa im exklusiven Stadtteil Holmby Hills, wo sich die Stars die Klinke in die Hand geben. Aber auch in Deutschland hat sie sich ein weiteres Anwesen im fränkischen Marloffstein gesichert.
