Ulrike Folkerts ist dem deutschen Publikum vor allem als “Kommissarin Lena” aus dem “Tatort” bekannt. Die Schauspielerin wurde unfreiwillig durch die Zeitung “Bild” geoutet. Heutzutage steht sie aber offen zu ihrer Sexualität und ist Mitglied des deutschen Teams, das an den sogenannten “Gay Games” teilnimmt. Sie hat schon einige Bronze- und Silbermedaillen im Schwimmen erhalten. Die Schauspielerin ist mit der Künstlerin “Katharina Schnitzler” zusammen, mit der sie auch ein Buch gemeinsam geschrieben hat. Darüber hinaus ist Ulrike in mehreren sozialen Organisationen tätig und setzt sich für gesellschaftlich benachteiligte Kinder ein. Für diesen Zweck hat sie sogar auch ihren eigenen Verein gegründet. Letztes Jahr erst wurde sie auch mit dem “Deutschen Fernsehkrimipreis” ausgezeichnet.
