Lonis erste größere Rolle kam 1978, als sie eine Rolle in der Sitcom W.K.R.P. in Cincinnati ergatterte. Nach einer längeren Pause, in der sie keine guten Rollen bekam, kehrte Loni 1975 zurück, indem sie in S.W.A.T.-Serien und anderen TV-Rollen mitspielte.
