Gitte Haenning – 74 years
The artist Gitte Hænning was already a big personality in her home country of Denmark when she came to Germany and tried her luck in the Schlager industry. It looks like it was the best decision she could have made, because it was in Germany that she had her big break. She then became famous with “I want a cowboy as a man” and since then she has not separated from German-language music, nor from her new homeland Germany. At the age of 74, she now lives in Berlin and can look back on an impressive music career.
