Das Leben war nicht immer ein Zuckerschlecken für den heute Achtzigjährigen, denn Robert Redford wurde einst vom College geschmissen. Doch das inspirierte die Kultfigur später zu einem Studium der Schauspielkunst an der Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
Danach begann Redford eine interessante Reise am bekannten Broadway, als er 1959 eine kleine Rolle in Tall Story bekam. Doch das war noch lange nicht alles. Nachdem er mit seinem Debüt viel Zuspruch erhalten hatte, wechselte er zum Fernsehen und zum Film, und der Rest ist, wie wir wissen, Kinogeschichte vom Feinsten!
