KRISTIN OTTO – 55 JAHRE
Die ehemalige Weltklasse-Schwimmerin Kristin Otto gewann in den 1980er Jahren neun Europameisterschaften und sieben Weltmeisterschaften und holte zusätzlich sechs Goldmedaillen bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1988 in Seoul. Im gleichen Jahr wurde sie vom Verband Europäischer Sportjournalisten (UEPS) zu Europas Sportlerin des Jahres und von der italienischen Zeitung „La Gazzetta dello Sport“ zur Weltsportlerin des Jahres gewählt. Ihre Karriere als aktive Leistungssportlerin beendete Kristin Otto nach den Europameisterschaften in Bonn, wo sie zwei Gold- und eine Bronzemedaille holte. Anschließend begann sie eine erfolgreiche Journalistenkarriere.
