Andrea Nahles erlebte in der Politik Höhen und Tiefen – und privat war es nicht anders. 2010 heiratete sie den Kunsthistoriker Markus Frings, und ein Jahr später wurde ihre Tochter geboren. Doch das erhoffte gemeinsame Familienglück hielt nicht für immer, und das Paar ging schließlich getrennte Wege. Die Trennung verlief einvernehmlich, doch Nahles gestand in einem seltenen Interview, dass sie sich die Ehe anders vorgestellt hatte. Trotz des Liebes-Aus blieb die wichtigste Priorität bestehen: ihre Tochter. Beide Eltern kümmern sich weiterhin liebevoll um sie, und Nahles meistert ihr Leben mit der gleichen Entschlossenheit, die sie auch in der Politik auszeichnet.
