In ihrer Schauspielkarriere im Theater und im Film hat sie unzählige Preise gewonnen. Unter anderen 3 Bambi Preise, 2 Romys, einen Adolf Grimme Preis, den deutschen und den österreichischen Filmpreis und sogar eine Golde Kamera. In Hollywood hat sie mit Größen wie Frank Sinatra, Orson Welles, Kirk Douglas und Alain Delon gefilmt. Ihre letzte Rolle vor dem Ruhestand war die von Eva Maria Prohacek in der Serie „Unter Verdacht“ von 2002 bis März 2020.
