Angela Merkel war die erste Frau an der Spitze Deutschlands. Mit ihrem optimistischen Regierungsstil ist die gebürtige Hamburgerin stets jedes Problem angegangen. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Oberhaupt der Partei CDU hat Merkel ganze 16 Jahre lang die Bundesrepublik Deutschland regiert und bei internationalen Treffen vertreten.
Die Power-Frau ist seit 1998 mit ihrem Mann Joachim Sauer verheiratet und lebte während ihrer Amtszeit, wie es sich für Kanzler gehört gegenüber des Bundestags in einer hoch gesicherten Villa. Die 67-Jährige liebt nach eigenen Angaben das Wandern und das Verweilen in der Natur nach stressigen Tagen. Dafür sollte sie jetzt genug Zeit haben und mit einer ordentlichen Pension wird es ihr im Ruhestand sicher blendend gehen.
