Insgesamt 91 Millionen Euro ist er zu Zeit wert und jedes Jahr nimmt er weitere 22 Millionen Euro mit nach Hause, durch seinen Vertrag mit Arsenal. Etliche Bonuszahlungen kommen noch hinzu, zum Beispiel hat er einen 35 Millionen Dollar Werbevertrag mit Adidas unterschrieben und wird auch von Mercedes-Benz gesponsert. Er spielt für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft und bei Arsenal als offensiver Mittelfeldspieler.
