Die Schauspielerin Elke Sommer lebt mittlerweile dauerhaft in Los Angeles und das schon seit den 90er Jahren. Schauspielerisch ist es um sie mittlerweile ruhiger geworden, denn ihre goldene Zeit waren die 60er und 70er Jahre gewesen, nachdem sie von einem italienischen Regisseur entdeckt wurde. Sie hatte damals in großen Hollywood Produktionen mitgewirkt, wie „The Price“, Zeppelin und die Filmreihe Carry On. Besonderes bekannt wurde sie durch ihren langen und besonders öffentlichen Streit mit der Schauspielerin Zsa-Zsa Gabor. Der Streit endete damit, dass Zsa-Zsa Gabor und ihr Ehemann eine 3,3 Millionen Dollar Abfindung zahlen mussten, weil sie sie in einem Interview in 1990 schlecht gemacht hatten. Angefangen hatte der Streit nachdem Sommer und Zsa-Zsa Gabor in dem Film „Circus oft he Stars“ mitwirkten.
