Tim und die Polizei trauten ihren Augen kaum. Im Gebüsch lagen Eier, die hier nicht hingehörten. Es waren keine gewöhnlichen Eier, sondern Raritäten von bedrohten Tierarten. Solche Eier zu besitzen ist streng verboten. Plötzlich war klar: Das war kein kleiner Lausbubenstreich. Hier lief ein großes Ding. Tierschmuggler nutzten den Park als Versteck für ihre Beute.
Der Stadtpark war wohl schon lange ein Umschlagplatz für krumme Geschäfte mit wilden Tieren. Was Tim und die Beamten fanden, war nur die Spitze des Eisbergs. Die Bande hatte überall ihre Finger im Spiel. Mit den Eiern konnten sie das jetzt beweisen. Die Schmuggler verstießen nicht nur gegen Gesetze, sondern gefährdeten auch das natürliche Gleichgewicht.
