De internationaal gevierde DJ Afrojack, oftewel Nick van de Wall, vestigde zich in 2013 in een indrukwekkende villa in Leersum. Voor iets meer dan twee miljoen euro verwierf hij een riante woning met een woonoppervlak van maar liefst 355 vierkante meter. Het pand beschikt over zeven slaapkamers, een idyllische tuin en een stijlvol Frans balkon met prachtig uitzicht. Daarnaast zijn er meerdere garages, een luxe zwembad en professionele muziekstudio’s aanwezig, wat de villa tot een paradijs voor een artiest van zijn kaliber maakt.
Op papier leek Afrojack met dit bezit een winst van ongeveer een miljoen euro te kunnen maken. Toch gooiden financiële tegenslagen roet in het eten. Volgens recente berichten legde de Belastingdienst beslag op de villa vanwege een vermeende belastingschuld van circa vier miljoen euro. Hierdoor krijgt dit hoofdstuk in zijn vastgoedavonturen een onverwachte en minder rooskleurige wending.
