Schrik Niet: Zoveel Kost Het Om Te Wonen Als Een A-Lister (En Het Is Bizar)

De Nederlandse actrice Angela Schijf heeft al vele jaren haar thuisbasis in België. Zij verruilde Amsterdam voor de bruisende stad Antwerpen, waar zij samenwoont met haar echtgenoot, de Vlaamse acteur Tom Van Landuyt. Het koppel vond er een indrukwekkend herenhuis op een toplocatie, dat ondanks zijn charme in erbarmelijke staat verkeerde. Het pand had een grondige renovatie nodig voordat het bewoonbaar werd. Toen hun gezin groeide met de komst van twee kinderen, besloten Angela en Tom in 2010 tijdelijk de zolderverdieping te betrekken.
Ondanks hun drukke schema’s namen ze een groot deel van de renovatie zelf voor hun rekening. Anderhalf jaar leefden ze onder eenvoudige omstandigheden: koken gebeurde op een klein kookstel, en een magnetron vervulde tijdelijk de rol van een volwaardige keuken. Pas later konden ze verhuizen naar een comfortabeler deel van het herenhuis, dat inmiddels een warme gezinswoning is geworden.
