Hoewel Stef Bos met zijn muziek de hele wereld over reist, ligt zijn vaste thuisbasis in het rustige Belgische dorp Wachtebeke, gelegen tussen Gent en Antwerpen. België speelt al sinds het begin van zijn carrière een grote rol; het was immers de plek waar zijn artistieke loopbaan vorm kreeg. Samen met zijn gezin bewoont hij er een karakteristieke boerderij die hij heeft omgevormd tot een multifunctioneel leef- en werkdomein.
De woning ademt creativiteit en biedt ruimte voor zowel werk als ontspanning. Er is een opnamestudio aanwezig, een werkkamer vol boeken en volop speelruimte voor de kinderen. Toch blijft Stef ook sterk verbonden met Zuid-Afrika, een land dat hem diep heeft geraakt. Hij verdeelt zijn tijd steevast tussen de Lage Landen en dit tweede thuis, waardoor hij inspiratie uit beide werelden kan putten.
