Eine schwere Kindheit und Jugend
Lexi Reed kämpfte schon in jungen Jahren mit ihrem Gewicht. Sie versuchte immer wieder, sich besser zu ernähren und aktiv zu werden, doch die Kilos blieben ein ständiger Begleiter. Als sie 25 Jahre alt war, wog sie fast 180 Kilogramm, was ihren Alltag stark beeinträchtigte. Zu dieser Zeit konnte sie aber nicht nur die körperliche Belastung, sondern auch die emotionalen und sozialen Auswirkungen ihres Übergewichts bemerken.
Lexi war eine optimistische Person, die das Leben mit einer positiven Einstellung betrachtete, doch ihr Gewicht schränkte sie in vielen Bereichen ein, wodurch ihre Frustration nur noch weiter wuchs. Trotz all der Rückschläge blieb sie jedoch entschlossen, ihr Leben zu genießen.
