Auch Danny machte schon bald beeindruckende Fortschritte. Er stand immer Lexi zur Seite und unterstützte sie bei jedem Schritt, so nahm auch er bald ab. In den ersten 24 Monaten, die sie an ihrem neuen Lebensstil arbeiteten, verlor Danny mehr als 40 Kilo. Zu Beginn wog er 130 Kilogramm, doch er schaffte es, sein Gewicht auf 86 Kilogramm zu reduzieren.
Er nahm schon im ersten Jahr am meisten ab, was ihn noch motivierter machte. Die letzten Pfunde purzelten dann langsamer, doch er hatte sein Wohlfühlgewicht erreicht, das er sich immer gewünscht hatte. Die gemeinsamen Erfolge stärkten auch ihre Beziehung und gaben ihnen die Motivation, glücklich ihre Reise fortzusetzen.
