Überwindung alter Ängste
Nachdem sie mit ihrem Gewicht das größte Hindernis hinter sich gelassen hatten, entschieden sich Lexi und Danny, sich auch anderen Ängsten zu stellen. Für Lexi war das vor allem die Angst vor Gewässern. In ihrer Vergangenheit hatte sie auch Bedenken wegen Schlangen und anderen Tieren gehabt, die in Seen und Flüssen leben könnten.
Um diese Angst zu überwinden, wagten sie es nun als Paar, Kajak zu fahren, eine Aktivität, die für Lexi früher körperlich und mental völlig unerreichbar gewesen wäre. Doch sie fanden so viel Freude daran, dass sie sich mittlerweile regelmäßig aufs Wasser wagen. Das Kajakfahren wurde zu einer ihrer liebsten Freizeitbeschäftigungen.
