Zunächst war Danny von der Idee, einen gesünderen Lebensstil zu führen, wenig begeistert, denn es war für ihn immer angenehm, nach Hause zu kommen, sich zu entspannen, zu essen und einfach nichts zu tun. Doch als das neue Jahr begann, spürte er, dass dies eine Gelegenheit war, nicht nur Lexi zu unterstützen, sondern auch gemeinsam ein besseres Leben anzustreben, um den inneren Schweinehund endgültig zu besiegen.
Innerlich wusste er, dass es gesundheitlich das Beste für sie beide war. Zuerst hatte er zwar gehofft, dass seine Frau ihre neuen Pläne bald wieder aufgeben würde, aber nach einigen Wochen begann er, sich mit voller Hingabe ihrem Vorhaben anzuschließen.
