The Five Sharps – Stormy Weather | $25K
The Five Sharps was a fairly well known vocal group that wasn’t around for too long. The members recorded Stormy Weather in exchange for hot dogs and soda pops. Hard to believe, right? Well, the same year they made their debut was the same year they retired from the industry, at least, has The Five Sharps that is.
The master copy of this record was burnt in a fire and it wasn’t until years later that the copy became known as one of the most valuable collectibles. There are only three copies in existence that we know of. At an auction, one of these copies was sold for $25K.
