The Velvet Underground – The Velvet Underground & Nico | $25K
The Velvet Underground’s debut album was titled The Velvet Underground & Nico. This project, however, wasn’t successful when it was first released. Despite this, it’s known today as one of the most influential albums. Its approach to addiction and various controversial topics at the time made it unique.
Iconic photographer Andy Warhol designed the cover. A rare copy that featured the first version of the album was auctioned for $25K. The owner had received it for only 75 cents at a flea market! Treasures can surely be found in the most unlikely places.
