The Rolling Stones – Street Fighting Man | $17K
The Rolling Stones is one of the most popular English rock bands to have ever graced the earth. Unlike many of the contemporary bands that emerged within the 60s, The Rolling Stones continue to be active to this day. One of their most controversial yet prized covers was for the single Street Fighting Man.
The cover featured an episode of apparent police brutality caught on camera. The song was going to be released in 1968 after riots had taken place in the US. Therefore, the record company decided to change the cover, with only 18 surviving copies of the original version. These copies are generally sold for $17K.
