Like many parents of teenagers, Tim and Faith have to relive the trials and tribulations of dating. In 2017, they appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spoke about how Tim likes to induce some healthy (and playful) fear in his daughter’s dates; when one of the girls and her friends piled into a limo for a school dance, Tim decided to cut an imposing figure by holding a sledgehammer over his shoulder. To his credit, this stunt was significantly less scary than an earlier stunt in which Tim “accidentally” greeted a daughter’s boyfriend while covered in blood after butchering some barbecue.
