Iris Abel nahm 2011 an „Bauer sucht Frau“ teil und gewann mit ihrer sympathischen Art bald eine große Fangemeinde für sich. Zusammen mit ihrem Bauer, dem lieben Uwe, ist sie eines der Gesichter der Show. Da sie schon lange mit ihrem Gewicht zu kämpfen gehabt hatte, entschloss sie sich für einen operativen Eingriff und ließ sich ein Magenband einsetzen, um endlich diese überflüssigen Kilos loszuwerden.
Sie hat das auch geschafft und hat seit ihrer OP ganze 30 Kilo verloren, auch wenn dazu eine gesunde Ernährung und genügend Bewegung nötig war. Heute hat sie nicht nur eine bessere Figur, sondern auch ein viel besseres Selbstbewusstsein.
