Tim scoured the ground, searching for anything that could explain what had happened. The footprints stood out immediately—too big for any animal that belonged here. Then there were the tool marks on the tree, clean and deliberate. Not nature. Not random. Someone had done this.
A chill ran through him. The park had always felt safe, but now it seemed different, like something was lurking beneath the surface. He studied the evidence, his mind racing. This wasn’t just a case of missing birds. Someone had been here for a reason. And if they had gone to such lengths to stay unnoticed, then whatever they were hiding had to be big.
