Cassi Davis – School Daze
Before Cassandra Davis-Patton, professionally known as Cassi Davis, famously played Ella Payne in “House of Payne” by Tyler Perry and its spin-off series, she had already appeared on screen in a supporting role. The 1988 Spike Lee comedy “School Daze” gave her a chance at honing her acting skills, which she delivered expertly.
Although she’s also a talented singer, the former music major has predominantly concentrated on her acting career, mostly working under the directorship and production of Tyler Perry Studios. The versatile actress rings a bell to many as Betty Ann “Aunt Bam” Murphy in the “Madea” movie sequels and is also an excellent voiceover artist.
