Rufus Wainwright and Jörn Weisbrodt have been partners in both life and art since 2005. Their relationship culminated in a star-studded wedding on August 23, 2012, in Montauk, New York, officiated by performance artist Justin Vivian Bond. The guest list included luminaries like Yoko Ono, Julianne Moore, Lou Reed, and Carrie Fisher.
In 2011, Rufus and Jörn welcomed their daughter, Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen (co-parented with Lorca Cohen, daughter of Leonard Cohen). Jörn, a German arts administrator, has held prominent roles, including artistic director of Toronto’s Luminato Festival and ALL ARTS, a New York-based arts platform. The couple resides in Los Angeles, balancing their creative endeavors with family life.
