Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo’s relationship began in 2017 and culminated in a private wedding in San Francisco in November 2019. The ceremony took place at City Hall, in front of Harvey Milk’s bust, a location chosen by Alana. Lena described the day as humbling and expressed appreciation for the progress that allowed them to marry there. However, just months later, the couple revealed their separation in January 2020 and divorced in May 2021.
Alana remains a prominent film executive, having served as President of Orion Pictures and Head of Production at Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. Meanwhile, Lena continues to be a significant figure in the entertainment industry.
