These LGBTQ Couples Prove True Love Knows No Boundaries

Cat Cora and Jennifer Cora – Together from 1998 to 2015

Cat and Jennifer Cora’s relationship began in 1998, long before marriage equality was legal. They were together for 17 years and share four sons: Zoran, Caje, Thatcher, and Nash, all conceived via in vitro fertilization. In a unique approach, each carried two of the other’s fertilized eggs, making their parenting journey both shared and deeply personal.

In October 2015, both Cat and Jennifer filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The former sought joint physical custody of their children, while Jennifer requested full custody and spousal support. Despite their separation, Cat emphasized their commitment to co-parenting, stating they would always have “four incredible reasons to celebrate our years together.”
