Cote de Pablo, born María José de Pablo Fernández in Santiago, Chile, moved to Miami at age 10, where her mother worked for Telemundo. Her early career included hosting episodes of the talk show Control and roles in series like ”The $treet” and ”The Education of Max Bickford.”

Cote’s turn on ”NCIS” from 2005 to 2013 earned her the 2011 ALMA Award for Favorite Television Actress. In 2019, she even made a surprise return to NCIS. A 2024 announcement confirmed that de Pablo and former co-star Michael Weatherly would executive produce and star in a new spin-off series, ”NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” set to stream on Paramount+.
