A captivating presence in film and television, Leigh Taylor-Young began her illustrious career in the mid-1960s. Her breakthrough came in 1966 when she was cast as Rachel Welles on the primetime soap opera “Peyton Place.” This role showcased her talent and introduced her to co-star Ryan O’Neal, whom she married in 1967.

Transitioning to the big screen, Leigh starred opposite Peter Sellers in the 1968 comedy “I Love You, Alice B. Toklas,” earning a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Female Newcomer. After a brief hiatus to focus on family, she returned to television, delivering an Emmy-winning performance as Rachel Harris in the series “Picket Fences” from 1993 to 1995.
