Larry Manetti – Born in 1947

A Chicago native, Larry Manetti carved a niche in television during the 1970s and 1980s. His portrayal of Orville “Rick” Wright in the iconic series “Magnum, P.I.” (1980–1988) remains his most celebrated role. Before this, he starred as Lieutenant Robert A. “Bobby” Boyle in “Baa Baa Black Sheep” (1976–1978), showcasing his versatility. ​

In 1999, Larry authored “Aloha Magnum,” offering fans an insider’s look into the series and his Hollywood experiences. Demonstrating his talent, he reunited with Tom Selleck on “Blue Bloods” in 2023, portraying Sam Velucci, a retired police sergeant. This appearance delighted fans, highlighting his lasting impact on television.​
