Emma Hack, an artist from Adelaide, has a unique style of transforming bodies into works of art by blending them with background patterns. In this piece, her skillful body painting makes the model appear as though she is part of the wall itself, merging with the design. This technique was inspired by the bold floral patterns of Florence Broadhurst’s wallpapers and was developed by Emma in the early 2000s.
Her work gained widespread attention when she collaborated with Australian singer Gotye on his hit song “Somebody That You Used to Know.” The music video’s visuals showcased Emma’s ability to make the human body and its surroundings one harmonious piece of art.
