Die Modedesignerin Carolina Herrera ist seit über 40 Jahren als erstklassige Modedesignerin und Unternehmerin bekannt. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1981 hat sich ihr Unternehmen zu einem der angesehensten Modekonzerne der Welt entwickelt: Schöne und reiche Leute und viele Prominente tragen ihre Kollektionen und stellen sie auf den wichtigsten Mode-Events der Welt aus. Natürlich hat Carolina auch ihr Leben diesem Unternehmen gewidmet. Die venezolanische Amerikanerin ist heute 82 Jahre alt, doch ihr vor 3 Jahren begonnenes Ruhestandsleben fällt ihr ziemlich schwer, da sie immer noch außerordentlich fit und aktiv ist.
