You Won’t Believe How These 45 Reporter Fails Were Aired On TV!

Blame It On The System Crash

The BBC is well known for its reliable and impartial news reporting, but even the most renowned broadcasters can encounter technical issues. In 2017, during the “10 O’clock News,” a serious difficulty arose as four minutes of unrelated clips (loud ‘Breaking News’ sounds and a live broadcast from presenter Hugh Edwards) were broadcast instead of the planned program.

This resulted in lengthy airtime without content, leaving Edwards unsure of what was happening. It was later discovered that a system crash in the software had caused the problem. The incident embarrassed the BBC and forced the network to review its technical systems and strengthen its procedures.
