News programs are usually meticulously planned, but sometimes, things go wrong. One such issue is when presenters fail to communicate with each other, leading to awkward transitions between segments. This was the case for Tomasz Schafernaker in 2018 when he was unaware that he was already on air.
The Polish-British meteorologist kept saying “hello” and fidgeting with his clothing and nails, evidently waiting for a response from the technical team. The viewers at home would have surely been confused, seeing the “BBC Weather” correspondent so frustrated while he was live on air. In 2010, he had another gaffe after jokingly flipping off a colleague and looking shocked upon realizing it was being broadcast.
