You Won’t Believe What People Were Doing and Wearing At Burning Man

Stairway to Neon Heaven

Blitzy’s installation, fittingly called The Afterlife, looked like a staircase to some neon heaven that only existed on the playa. By day, its pinks, oranges, and purples burned against the desert sky like a psychedelic carnival, while flags whipped above like celebratory confetti frozen midair.

Burners couldn’t resist climbing it, striking poses that turned every photo into a postcard from a fluorescent dreamscape. At night, LEDs gave it another life entirely, glowing like a cosmic temple. It was part playground, part shrine, and part fashion runway, because at Burning Man, even the afterlife comes with color coordination and great lighting.
