You Won’t Believe What People Were Doing and Wearing At Burning Man

Burners walking into Center Camp in 2012 didn’t just stroll through an entryway. Instead, they marched through a rainbow-colored spaceship portal called Starport. Designed by Carey Thompson, this glowing tunnel looked like it was ripped from the set of a sci-fi fantasy.
By night, its beams of shifting light transformed the desert floor into a cosmic welcome mat for anyone bold enough to step through. The lights practically hinted that whatever lay inside Center Camp would be nothing short of legendary. Burners lined up not just to enter, but to bask in its playful glow and capture epic photos while at it.
