The Message Spreads

Aaron Gouveia’s message about this incident was aimed at helping and protecting his own son, but it touched the hearts and minds of many. Very few things in this world are divided into masculine and feminine and this does not include pain and humiliation. They are the same—boy or girl, kid or a grown adult. Aaron particularly condemned intolerant parents and how their hate and intolerance were spreading to their kids and the environment. According to Aaron, the overall response of the community to his message is quite positive. Sam even returned to his classes with his nails polished and told USA Today that he feels good in school.
