Shortly after their 16th birthday, TLC approached and propositioned the twins about filming a documentary about their lives. And when the documentary became a success, TLC plunged even further and offered the girls their own TV show. After weighing both their potential earnings and the effects being reality stars would have on their lives (and bank accounts) – they realized they struck TV gold and it was an offer too good to pass up.
