Danny war nur ein paar Jahre älter als Lexi und brachte selbst etwa 130 Kilogramm auf die Waage, was für seine Größe ebenfalls zu viel war. Gemeinsam gewöhnten sie sich schnell an einen ungesunden Lebensstil und verbrachten viel Zeit auf dem Sofa. Essen war für beide eine Freude, die sie teilten.
An den Wochenenden nutzten sie oft die Gelegenheit, All-you-can-eat-Buffets zu besuchen oder verschiedene Köstlichkeiten nach Hause liefern zu lassen. Die Portionen wurden immer größer und auch ihr Gewicht stieg immer weiter an. Obwohl Lexi den Wunsch hatte, Gewicht zu verlieren, rückte ihr Ziel immer weiter in den Hintergrund, während sie ihrer genussvollen Zeit mit Danny den Vorzug gab.
