Hiding Under Layers

Anybody could see that Kurt Cobain was a guy of a small frame compared to the general aesthetics of a man. While this did not actually become an issue in and of itself, what made Cobain self-conscious about his small size was the fact that he was laughed at during his days in high school. In an attempt to disguise his body size, Cobain began wearing oversized outfits and in multiple layers, drawing the eye away from his actual figure. Cobain even kept this wardrobe up during the warm winter months!
